This week's Speedway at Armadale is the match the whole country has been waiting for - the 2008 Premier League champions Edinburgh Scotwaste Monarchs against the team tipped to grab all the honours this season, the King's Lynn Warnes Transport Stars.

The Scotwaste Monarchs will introduce Thomas H Jonasson and Byron Bekker to their team for the weekend matches at Scunthorpe and Newport.

Last year at Rye House we tore into an early lead before losing out over the last few heats. This year it was pretty much the other way round.

We made a poor start to our match at Rye House, ten down after 3 and 20 down after 9, and although we improved thereafter we got nowhere near winning a match point.

We head for Rye House on Saturday, and Rockets fans tell us we have a chance as their team is not going well.

A difficult track and some controversial refereeing didn?t stop the Monarchs taking all three points against a fairly impressive Newport side.

This week we welcome the Newport Wasps to Armadale with a new look team to that which has struggled over the last few weeks. Newport have never been successful visitors to the Dale but can the new look squad get off to a winning start?
